    Please indicate that you are with the Wound Healing Society in order to receive the special rate of $109 single, $109 double. Early registration is suggested. The hotel will only hold rooms at this rate until April 1. In addition, this is not a large hotel and WHS could easily fill all the rooms.

    On-Site Registration
    The registration desk will open on Tuesday May 13 from 4-7 pm Wednesday 7:30 am-5:00 pm, Thursday 7:30 - 3:00 pm. Advanced Registration is advisable if you wish to attend any of the the Industry Sponsored Luncheon Symposia or the Thursday night off-site dinner/social. Registration for Friday's educational course must be arranged in advance and enrollment is limited to 75.

    Abstract Deadline & Policy

    Abstracts must be received by 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time December 15, 2000. Electronic submission is highly preferred (Please see abstract submission guidelines in this booklet). If you feel that electronic submission would be an impossibility, you may obtain written abstract guidelines from the:

    Abstracts will be judged on the basis of scientific merit by the Scientific Program Committee and notification will be made by mid-January. Work must be original and must not have been published as a full manuscript. Abstracts will be published in the March/April issue of the Wound Repair and Regeneration.

    Meeting Attire

    In keeping with the southwestern flair of the meeting, your attire should be informal or business/casual attire. The temperature in May typically ranges in May from a 49/80 F with a relative humidity of 37%. For off-site activities such as Old Town, the Botanical Gardens and the patio dinning at El Pinto you should bring outdoor clothing. If you plan to ascend to the Sandia Peak, you should prepare for chilly temperatures as the sun goes down at this high altitude.

    Off-Site Excursions - We request that you select your preference for Day 1 sight seeing opportunities so that we may arrange for adequate numbers of shuttle buses.

    Old Town Spanish Plaza: Expect to stroll in and out of shops, watering holes, the old Spanish church as you gain an appreciation for pre-mall days of yester year the southwest.

    Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway: This will cost you $13 extra as you ascend upward to 10,500 ft

    Accompanying Guests

    This would be a great year to mix science with pleasure. Your guests is welcome at all social and sightseeing events. While you attend the meetings there are numerous sites of interest such as the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, the RioGrande Nature Center, the New Mexican museum of Natural History, the Petroglyph National Monument Park, the Arroyo Del Oso Golf course. Within walking distance of the hotel is New Mexico's largest mall (Coronado Center) and another mall as well as numerous restaurants. The hotel provides complementary shuttle service within a 2 miles radius. Numerous tours are available with the city and surrounding countryside.

    Exhibits

    We anticipate that 20 companies will be demonstrating and showing their products and services at the meeting. A detailed list of the participating companies will be included for registrants.

    Transportation

    The Albuquerque Sunport is a destination for all of the major airlines. The Uptown Sheraton Hotel is a short 10 minute taxi ride (8 miles) from the airport. The WHS has selected Southwest as the official airlines for this meeting. Travel arrangements can be made by calling Southwest directly at 800-433-5368.
